  4. From about 3.30 onwards, depending on the amount of
  5. preliminary business, the House moves on to what is 
  6. described on the Order Paper as 'Orders of the Day and 
  7. Notices of Motion'. Two or three items are usually listed. 
  8. These include the various stages of government Bills 
  9. passing through the House, but time is also found for 
  10. some government and opposition debates, and occasionally 
  11. Emergency Debates, taking place the day after they were 
  12. granted. The first item listed will usually be the principal debating 
  13. subject for the day.

  15. Debating usually continues until 10 pm, but there are also a few days  when debates end at 7 pm, to allow additional time for 'opposed private business' - when private legislation can be debated.
